Telzino v.39 release announcement graphic

Telzino v.39 is live in the Dashboard and Telzino Connect. It adds two new agent templates, a second voice for Spanish-speaking callers, a Listings Search tool, reusable SMS templates, smoother warm transfers and partner-level do-not-call lists.

It is one of our broadest releases yet. Here is what’s new and why it matters for you and your customers.

Two new agent templates

Translator Agent. An AI interpreter for calls where two people don’t share a language. It relays each speaker into the other language, English to Spanish or English to French, and back. It speaks in the first person, the way a human interpreter would, and never answers questions on its own.

Notetaker Agent. A new agent type that joins a call to take notes. Its settings sit in their own section of the agent editor, so setup takes a few minutes.

A Spanish voice for every agent

An agent can now have a second voice that takes over whenever the caller speaks Spanish. Callers hear a natural, native-sounding voice instead of the English voice switching languages.

The picker sits right under the main voice. It lists Spanish voices first, includes your organization’s cloned voices, has its own Preview button and follows the same v3/v3.6 model as the main voice. Choose “None” to turn it off.

Listings Search: let callers browse inventory by phone

Listings Search is a new agent tool that lets callers search a customer’s listings site and hear the matching items. Ask for “two-bedroom apartments under $1,800” and the agent reads back what’s available.

It works with any public listings page. Telzino analyses the page automatically to work out what callers can search by, so the same tool works for a property manager’s rentals or a car dealer’s lot.

  • Optional detail pages give richer answers, with an attestation re-confirmed whenever the address changes or detail pages are switched on
  • If a source can’t be read, the editor tells you exactly why
  • Availability is managed through Feature Administration

SMS: templates and simpler Twilio setup

SMS Template Manager. Build reusable messages for the agent’s Send SMS tool. The library supports search, duplicate and archive. The editor highlights placeholders, counts segments live and has a Send Test button.

Twilio, connected once. Twilio credentials now belong to the organization, not each agent. Connect it once from the organization’s agents view, then turn it on or off per agent. The agent list shows which agents use it, and the From number is checked against your Twilio account.

From number on the tool. The Send SMS From number now lives on the Send SMS tool itself. Existing agents are pre-filled from their Twilio connection, so nothing changes until you next save the tool.

Any Canadian number. Hosted SMS now accepts Canadian VoIP and landline numbers, not just mobile numbers.

Pilot: agents that answer texts and email

Telzino agents can now hold conversations over SMS and email, not just voice. This is available to pilot organizations today.

  • Each agent page has a Conversations tab listing the channels it answers and one row per contact, with the last message, who spoke last (customer, AI or staff), and Needs staff / AI paused badges
  • Add an SMS number or a Microsoft 365 mailbox from the same tab; the mailbox can be connected by its owner or by an administrator for the whole organization
  • A Contacts card on the organization page opens each contact’s full timeline, where staff can reply or pause the AI

Warmer warm transfers

Handing a caller to a person should feel seamless. v0.0.39 gives you more control over every step.

  • Ring time before giving up: set how long a warm, keypress-confirmed or web widget transfer rings, from 10 to 120 seconds (default 25)
  • Transfer announcement: the agent tells the caller it’s connecting them before putting them on hold; switch it off or reword it per agent
  • Hold reminder: during a long hold the caller hears a periodic reminder, with configurable text and interval
  • Shorter briefing: a tighter default briefing for the person picking up, with placeholders such as the caller’s name and reason in the Hand-off introduction
  • Consistent consult calls: the hand-off introduction and warm transfer rules are now followed on the consult call too
  • Named PBX destinations: transfers to destinations such as a voicemail box (for example vmail_100) now work

Outbound calling: do-not-call lists at every level

Partners and resellers can now keep their own suppression lists. Before every dial, Telzino checks the organization’s list plus any partner and reseller lists above it. Those upstream entries show read-only at lower levels.

When a callee asks not to be called again mid-call, they’re added to the suppression list automatically, tagged “Added automatically.” Each level has an opt-in setting for where those opt-outs are recorded; both are off by default, so nothing changes until you turn them on.

The Outbound Calling lock is also stricter: locked organizations can no longer place calls or see outbound reports, not just create outbound agents. And outbound agents get a Test an outbound call card on the Test Agent page in Connect, with the same number, greeting, voicemail and call context fields as the Dashboard.

More across the platform

Event webhooks for partners and resellers. Send Telzino events to your own systems. From Account Settings › Event Webhooks or the API, you can create, test, pause, rotate and delete endpoints for your account, a reseller or an organization. Events cover account, organization and agent lifecycle, first calls, plan and usage changes, payment failures, users and API keys. A per-organization setting controls whether call details containing health information can appear in payloads. Unlocked per partner on request.

Suspend and reactivate organizations. Partner admins and the parent reseller’s admins can suspend an organization from Customers or the API. A suspended organization can’t create outbound calls or send test SMS.

Change History. Every agent in the Dashboard now has a Change History tab showing each saved version, who changed what and from where, with a one-click Revert. It matches Connect.

Enhanced email capture. When on, the agent has the caller spell their email, reads it back in capitals and confirms it before using it. You can list up to five business domains for it to listen for. Call details show the outcome, and Feature Usage gains an Email Capture card.

Knowledge base filler. A switch for “One moment, let me check that for you” during slow knowledge-base searches. It’s on by default, so existing agents behave as before.

Free demo agents. Billing plans can include demo agents that skip the monthly per-agent fee; their call costs are refunded to the wallet nightly.

NetSapiens. The User Base Claim Manage page now shows the NetSapiens UI Configs Telzino depends on, and whether a reseller may change each one.

API. New endpoints for agent change history and revert, event webhook management, and PATCH /v1/organizations/{id} to suspend or reactivate. A blocked dial returns 409 suppressed with a suppression_scope of organization, reseller or partner. The agents API accepts every new setting in this release.

Fixes

  • When a webhook tool fails, the agent now gets a short, clear error and no longer invents a result from an empty reply
  • Call start and end times are recorded correctly regardless of server time zone, and an organization’s last call time is never set in the future
  • Feature Requests no longer crashes and signs users in automatically
  • Send Test on SMS uses the right From number
  • Email template pages are no longer cut off at 1200px inside the portal
